TASA Award for Distinguished Service to Australian Sociology

TASA occasionally provides awards to members for their outstanding service to Australian sociology.

Conditions:

  1. Nominators and nominees must be TASA members.
  2. Nominees must be nominated by TASA members.
  3. Nominations are made in writing to the Executive Committee and must include the nominee's CV and a brief statement concerning their service to Australian sociology.

Determination:

The Executive determines the award.

  • Dr Cora Baldock (2000)
  • Emeritus Professor Lois Bryson (1996 - inaugural recipient)
  • Emertius Professor John Western (1996 - inaugural recipient)
