Theme: Public Sociologies: Lessons and Trans-Tasman Comparisons.

Keynote speakers: Professor Barry Smart (University of Portsmouth) and Professor Michael Burawoy (University of California, Berkeley). Professor Burawoy is also President of the American Sociological Association.
