Conference Theme: Community, Place and Change
We encourage papers on the theme and on other topics from all areas of sociology and related disciplines

Where to go once in Hobart: When delegates arrive they should proceed to the Registration Desk which will be in the foyer of the Stanley Burbury Theatre, University Centre, Churchill Ave., Sandy Bay. For a map of the campus, please click here.

Location: The TASA’05 conference is being held at the University of Tasmania (UTAS) Sandy Bay campus. The Sandy Bay campus is approx. 3km from the centre of Hobart, the state’s capital city, and a twenty-minute drive from the airport. A range of accommodation types will be offered, including on-campus student accommodation at reasonable rates.
