Erratum and updates since publication
eSocHealth was the online newsletter of the Health Section of TASA. It started in 1993 and the last edition was produced in late 2004. In 2005 it was decided to no longer produce the newsletter.
Please note that the first printing of the book contained an error on page 57. In subsequent printings of the book, the following sentence: 'The University of Sydney has prominent sociologists, among them Bob Connell, but still has no sociology department'... has been replaced with: 'The University of Sydney has prominent sociologists, among them Bob Connell, but its sociology department only began in 1991.' The chapter author and editors apologise for any inconvenience.
