Biography
Danielle is currently working at Bendigo & District Aboriginal Co-operative as Strategic Projects & Policy Advisor.
Danielle's experiences include a long history working on a population health, health promotion and primary prevention initiatives, including with funding and commissioning organisations, in peak consumer health bodies, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations and with digital health organisations.
Her MPH and PhD research applied critical sociological perspectives to explore contemporary public health issues. Her current research interests include public and rural health and critical examinations of media, discourse, power and social control in these contexts.
Danielle is an Editor with the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Public Health and an Associate Editor with the Journal of Bioethical Inquiry.
She is member of the Public Health Association of Australia and The Australian Sociological Association.
Danielle is an adjunct research fellow at Monash University, and supervises a number of post-graduate students investigating health sociology and media related projects.
