Dear  ~~first_name~~

The Australian Sociological Association (TASA) is pleased to announce that registrations are now open for TASA 2026, which will be held from 23–27 November at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Post Grad Day, some workshop and the Welcome Reception will be held on the Monday. Concurrent sessions and other activities will be held from Tuesday to Friday.

Please note, this year's conference is an in-person only event.

The conference theme, Resistance & Revolution, invites sociologists to explore the many forms of resistance, refusal, activism, transformation, and social change shaping contemporary society.

We encourage delegates to register early and take advantage of the discounted Early Bird Rates, available until 28 June. To view registration categories and pricing, or to register for the conference, please click here.

TASA 2026 promises to be an engaging and vibrant in-person event featuring a diverse academic and social program, including:

  • Complimentary professional development workshops
  • A dedicated Postgraduate event
  • A Yarning Circle
  • Welcome Reception
  • Inclusive Women’s Breakfast
  • Queer Drinks
  • Conference Casual Dinner

Whether you are a long-time TASA member, an emerging researcher, postgraduate student, practitioner, or attending your first TASA conference, we look forward to welcoming you to the Sunshine Coast for an inspiring week of sociological discussion, networking, collaboration, and connection.
