Renewed call for an editorial team for 2021 - 2024

We are reopening the call for expressions of interest for the Journal of Sociology (JoS) editorial team for 2021-2024. EoIs are sought from a group of members as well as from individual members wanting to be considered as part of an editorial team (which would be put together by the TASA Executive).

If you would like to put yourself forward as an interested individual, to be a part of the editorial team, please respond to the following questions and copy and paste the details into an email to admin@tasa.org.au. Please note that the successful Editor in Chief will be required to have (non-financial) institutional support for taking on the role.

JoS is the flagship journal of TASA and the major Australian outlet for sociology. Editing the journal is an opportunity to shape the development of sociology in Australia and publish the leading work produced by your colleagues. There is $20,000 administration funding available as well as support from TASA and from the publisher, Sage. Manuscript submission is on-line through the ScholarOne system.

Journal of Sociology features high quality sociological scholarship in all its forms. We are dedicated to showcasing theory as well as applied sociology, quantitative and qualitative research. Interdisciplinary pieces are welcome, as are submissions from outside the academy. Based in the Southern Hemisphere and committed to intellectual works from the Asia-Pacific region, including Indigenous scholarship, we also encourage submissions from across the globe.
